Introduction

We see music videos on a daily basis while watching television but we never really think about the theory about whats goes on behind it all. There is a lot of things to consider when wanting to create a music video.

There are three main types of music videos and the first is performance. This is mainly focused on the artist performing as a band or they are a dancer. Next is narrative and this is where the video creates something similar to a short film, (usually with the artist in it) and they are telling a story through the ylrics and the actions int he video. The last one is concept music videos and these are the ones where the video only has a mild connection to the lyrics, and the rest of the video creates its own story or the viewer had their own presumptio of whats going on.
